Tuesday August 7th

Another early morning with coffee on the balcony before heading down to the beach to set up camp. A few rides in the water
we called ahead for seating but had to stop and get some gas. We made up to the restaurant and were told a 20-45 minute wait.

While watching Walker play one of the claw games, I was surprised to see an old friend from the message board. Bob L was there with his family. We had a chance to talk before we were called to our seats. We had the chips and salsa while waiting for our great meals. I had some sort of chicken in a tortilla fried cover with a couple different cheeses.
Mandy had a quesadilla, Sloan had chicken tenders, and Walker had a taco and fries. Everyone commented on how they thought tonight’s meal was the best so far this week. After dinner we split up again the girls went shopping and we went to try Magiquest. When we got over there at 8pm the line was out the door so we decided to try something else tonight. My brother, in his infinite wisdom, thought the kids would love some cotton candy hoping that would make up for not doing Magiquest(nothing like giving 3 disappointed kids 100% sugar) But first we rode down to Ocean Blvd to see what had changed. This was the first time for my brother in over ten years. As we drove past the fenced in lot where the Pavilion once stood it sadden all of our hearts and brought back a lot of memories. The kids were getting restless so we headed down to Maze Mania to run off some sugar.
If you are not familiar with this adventure let me explain. Imagine a one acre lot, 7 foot tall planks forming a maze,
a challenge complete in under 5 minutes for a free t-shirt. We headed in in a hurry and before long our pace had changed from run to trot to walk and some even to a crawl. I made it out in 11 minutes, my brother and his 4 year old quit and came back out the entrance after 25 minutes, Walker finished in 34 and Sloan went out and then back in to finish in 55 minutes.
We were all hot and tired so of course an Icee would fix what ailed us. We headed home and the kids and I hopped into the pool for a half hour. We came in and the kids got ready for bed. I stayed up a while longer talking to my parents before heading to bed.
